- Yanbaru Night Tour -
Many creatures found only in Okinawa’s Yanbaru forest begin their day only after the sun sets. This night tour is an adventure through the dark forest to discover the vibrant lives of these animals that you can never see during the day.
This is a completely private tour. While we primarily search for reptiles and amphibians, we are happy to accommodate specific requests if there is a certain creature you are dying to see! With round-trip transportation included, you won’t have to worry about driving at night. Families with children are more than welcome to join the adventure!
Yanbaru’s wildlife changes its location depending on the weather, temperature, and time of day. Our private, customizable tours allow us to change our search points dynamically, maximizing your chances of encountering the specific creatures you want to see. This approach to meeting wildlife—unlike fixed-location or large-group tours—significantly increases both the encounter rate and the diversity of species we find. While Yanbaru is full of wildlife, seeing a designated National Monument is a rare and special treat! We’ll do our best to find them together during the tour.

The tour start time is based on the sunset. I will let you know your pickup time based on the travel time from your hotel to the tour location. If you prefer to meet at the site, I will send the meeting location details separately.
